Joy Mojisola Raimi: Representing Nigeria at Miss World 2025.
Joy Mojisola Raimi, Nigeria’s representative for Miss World 2025, is a 24-year-old powerhouse of talent and purpose from Osun State. Born and raised in Nigeria, she holds a degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Port Harcourt—a background that perfectly aligns with her passion for driving social change.
Her commitment to tackling issues like poverty and gender inequality reflects both her academic grounding and personal mission.
Raimi wears many hats: she’s a professional model, actress, and entrepreneur, with a growing influence in Nigeria’s fashion and creative industries. On April 4, 2025, she was crowned Miss World Nigeria during a prestigious event at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos. The pageant, organized by the Diamond Beauty Organisation under the leadership of CEO Oguike Darlington, featured 36 contestants from across the country. Raimi stood out in every segment—from talent and advocacy to “Beauty with a Purpose”—earning her place as Nigeria’s delegate to the 72nd Miss World pageant in Hyderabad, India, taking place from May 7 to 31, 2025.
At the heart of her advocacy is “The Love for Humanity” project, a movement she launched to spread compassion and uplift marginalized communities. A major focus of her initiative is the fight against period poverty, ensuring girls and women in underserved areas have access to menstrual hygiene products. During the national competition, she passionately spoke about the importance of education, empowerment, and community-based solutions to drive meaningful change.
Raimi’s journey is deeply rooted in resilience. Raised by her father after losing her mother at a young age, she faced bullying as a child—a challenge that helped shape her strength and sense of purpose. These early experiences fueled her drive to support others and gave her the empathy that defines her platform. Known for her eloquence and grace, she impressed judges during the pageant’s Q&A segments, showcasing her strong communication skills and clear vision.
Standing at around 5’9”, Raimi exudes elegance and confidence—attributes honed through years of modeling. Her pride in her Yoruba heritage shines through in her appearances, where she often incorporates cultural elements from Osun State. Active on social media, she shares insights into her advocacy work, personal growth, and pageant preparations, inspiring young Nigerians—especially women—to dream big and act boldly.
As she prepares for the international stage, Raimi is undergoing rigorous training in catwalk, public speaking, and cultural diplomacy. Her goal goes beyond winning the crown—she aims to use the Miss World platform to spotlight Nigeria’s potential and contribute to global conversations on education, women’s rights, and poverty reduction. Drawing inspiration from icons like Agbani Darego, Africa’s first Miss World, Raimi is determined to make a lasting impact—both at home and on the world stage.
