Tinubu Has Already Won 2027″ — Wike Explains Why PDP Doesn’t Stand a Chance

As the countdown to the 2027 general elections begins, Nigeria’s political scene is heating up—and former Rivers State Governor, now FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike is making headlines once again.

At a recent political event in Abuja, Wike confidently declared that President Bola Tinubu will win re-election, insisting that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has already secured victory in advance.

Let’s be honest—PDP isn’t ready,” Wike said bluntly. “We’re divided, disorganized, and not speaking with one voice. Meanwhile, Tinubu and APC are building momentum every day.”

Wike, a longtime member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has continued to ruffle feathers by working with the APC-led federal government. Despite the criticism, he insists his loyalty lies with performance—not political party lines.

Politics isn’t about slogans or emotions. It’s about results. President Tinubu is working, he understands power and how to win elections. That’s why I’m saying—2027? We’ve already won.”

He didn’t hold back when talking about the problems in the PDP either. According to Wike, internal conflicts and lack of direction are weakening the party’s chances ahead of the next election.

We can’t even agree on zoning, we reward disloyalty, and we’re always fighting ourselves. How can we face Nigerians like this and expect to win?” he asked.

Naturally, Wike’s comments have sparked strong reactions. Some PDP leaders have brushed off his claims, saying 2027 is still far off and the party has time to bounce back. One insider called Wike’s remarks “pure political posturing” aimed at staying relevant and possibly securing a future deal with Tinubu.

Still, there’s no denying that Wike has influence, especially in the South-South region. If he throws his full support behind Tinubu, it could shift the balance in key states.

But political analysts are urging caution. Nigerian politics is unpredictable, and a lot could change between now and 2027.

For now, though, one thing’s clear: Wike is betting big on Tinubu—and he’s not afraid to say it out loud.
