NSA, defence minister receive Kukah’s brother, 59 others rescued from bandits

The National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and the Minister of Defence, Badaru Abubakar, on Tuesday received 60 rescued kidnap victims, including Ishaya Kuka, brother to the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Rev. Fr. Matthew Kukah.
Also among those rescued was the Deputy Director of the National Assembly Commission, Adesanya Michael, who was abducted from his residence in Kubwa, Abuja.
Handing over the rescued victims to the NSA and the Defence Minister, the Coordinator of the National Counter-Terrorism Centre, Maj. Gen. Adamu Laka said the victims — comprising 35 males and 25 females — were rescued on Sunday, April 7, by troops of 1 Division of the Nigerian Army in a coordinated operation supported by other security and intelligence agencies.
