The AMVCA Cultural Day is a lively celebration that kicks off the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, honoring African heritage through fashion, music, food, and storytelling.
For its 11th edition in 2025, the event takes place on Friday, May 9, at the Balmoral Convention Center in Victoria Island, Lagos, starting at 5 PM WAT.
Nollywood star Stan Nze will be hosting the evening.
Guests are to expect a dazzling display of traditional outfits, with celebrities like Venita Akpofure and Sooj Official bringing bold fashion to the spotlight.
Event sponsor will be awarding ₦1 million each to the Best Dressed Male and Female, recognizing standout looks that blend elegance with cultural richness.
From live performances and art to diverse African cuisine, the day promises a full immersion into the continent’s vibrant traditions.
Cultural Day is part of a four-day AMVCA schedule, following Icons Night and Young Filmmakers’ Day, and building up to the main Awards Night on May 10.
