Nigerian Grammy-winning star, Tems, has garnered thousands of reactions on X after dropping new photos of herself to mark her 30th birthday celebration.

The AFROBEATS artist shared lovely new photos of herself to mark her turning 30. She shared the photos with the caption “Marbella, Spain” while rocking a pink bikini on a yacht.

The post, which has since gone viral, has left fans in a confused state. While some adored the look, some believed that the look was inappropriate for her “Big Age”.

For her most loyal fans, she was hailed for loving her body, looking sexy, and setting trends for the modern-day woman.

Tems, who was born on the 11th day of June 1995, in Lagos, Nigeria, has shown she’s the best and has proven she is deserving of everything good.

Tems Bio

Her first name Temilade, means “the crown is mine” in Yoruba. She is of Yoruba ethnicity. Her family relocated to the United Kingdom when she was an infant, then returned to Nigeria following her parents’ separation, when she was five years old.

Tems resided in Ilupeju before moving to Lekki and then later to Ajah. She attended Dowen College for her secondary education and Monash South Africa for her tertiary education, where she obtained a degree in economics.

In high school, she was frequently bullied because of her voice. At 11 years old, she joined her school choir and soon began singing in falsetto, but was noticed by her music teacher, who coached her and taught her how to play the piano.

Tems often practiced singing with her brother, who often accompanied her on guitar. She is the first Nigerian female artist to have won a Grammy.

Tems is also the most awarded female African artist ever.
